THE RESIDENTS RELEASED THE COMMERCIAL ALBUM IN 1980

Tracks 1 to 40 were originally released as the Commercial Album on vinyl in 1980 (Ralph Records). Tracks 41 to 50 were recorded between the years 1979-1987 and appeared on several different compilations and singles:

- track 41-42: were extra tracks from the "Commercial Album" sessions, they ended up on singles in England (Commercial Single) and France,
- track 43: was composed for a weekly comedy TV show. Producers rejected it as too strange. Touch included it on Ritual: Magnetic North,
- track 44: was recorded for Morgan Fisher's Miniatures (A Sequence Of Fifty-One Tiny Masterpieces Edited By Morgan-Fisher) project,
- track 45: was written in 1979 and is included on the Residue Of The Residents collection,
- track 46: is from 1980 and is on Residue Of The Residents,
- track 47: was recorded in 1980, the same time as the "Commercial Album", and released as a 12" dance record. This particular shorter version appeared on Residue Of The Residents,
- track 48: was recorded in 1982 and appeared on Residue Of The Residents,
- track 49: from The White Single released in 1984,
- track 50: was recorded in 1987 and release only as a single Hit The Road Jack / Excerpt From "For Elsie".
