THUR 19 NOV - ANTHONY RITCHIE CD LAUNCH

We're having a little celebration with renowned Dunedin & NZ composer Anthony Ritchie.

Launching not one but 2 new CD albums 'Father & Son' and 'Fjärran'

Not only is this a celebration of Anthony and his fantastic talent, his music is also performed and perfected by these outstanding Dunedin-based musicians/artists: Tessa Petersen, John van Buskirk, Tom McGrath, Stephen Cranefield, David Burchell, John Egenes (producer), Mike Holland (engineer), Danny Buchanan (engineer).

'Fjärran'

Features clarinet quintets by Anthony and fellow New Zealander Ross Harris, played by Swedish group The Dalecarlia Quintet, with Kiwi clarinettist Anna McGregor.

'Father & Son'

This album presents the music of rare father-and-son composer combination - John and Anthony Ritchie - both celebrated New Zealand composers. Features John Ritchie's Zhivago Songs and his last composition, the Clarinet Sonata, along with the moving song cycle Thoughts from an Inner Garden.
