11 MAY 2014 ~ NZ ARTIST OF THE DAY

TINY RUINS

BRIGHTLY PAINTED ONE

"This is meticulously minimal music that feels like suddenly emerging somewhere still and magical. They centre on the gorgeous voice and crisp fingerpicking of singer/guitarist Hollie Fullbrook who has touches of a less theatrical Laura Marling but also a nice kiwi undertow and a hint of Karen Dalton."
Roy Wilkinson, MOJO

Songwriter Hollie Fullbrook formed TINY RUINS as a solo project in 2009, however she is now joined by bassist Cass Basil and drummer Alexander Freer. The album Brightly Painted One is receiving fantastic reviews, and they are about to tour later this year in New Zealand and internationally. If you like music that has a delicate, intimate - 'draw-you-in' quality... you probably want to check TINY RUINS out...
