Acclaimed singer-songwriter MATT LANGLEY has a way of reaching out and touching you with raw truths. Matt is a storyteller and has built a solid following through live performance in intimate venues around New Zealand. In 2010 his track 7.13 on the album Featherbones won the APRA Country Song of the Year award, and the truth is he loves what he does, and his audiences feel it!
Yes the good news is that he performs live regularly, and his gigs are without a doubt a treat...
TODAY for example he is playing live at Dunedin Library @ 12:30pm for an acoustic set to celebrate NZ Music Month.... or

"Mother Goose were a rock and roll band from Dunedin who had significant success in the late 1970s in Australia. Their unique and quite hilarious video for the 1977 single 'Baked Beans' was amongst the most played clips across the Tasman that decade."

1970s Dunedin rock band MOTHER GOOSE were Craig Johnston and Steve Young (from The Biggles) Peter Dickson, Dennis Gibbons and Marcel Rodeka (from Argus). They reunited in 2007 as part of Re:Sound Three Decades of Dunedin Sound for a live concert at the Regent Theatre on Friday 23rd March 2007 along with The Chills, The Clean and Sneaky Feelings.
Argus do reunite every now and then and in case you didn't know - just played live at the ROBBIE in Dunedin last week!
We will definitely let you know if we hear of any upcoming live performances...
Another little side note - many Dunedin drummers have been inspired and taught by Mother Goose drummer Marcel Rodeka... including two of our RELICS team - Sarah Williamson and Bebe James... here's a little of what Marcel has to say...

MOUNTAINEATER are without a doubt one of my most favourite local Dunedin bands... (well at least they used to be Dunedin local.. these days geographical location separates members of the band a little). The vocal intensity of Tristan Dingemans is equaled in drive and fervour by Chris Livingston (drums) and Anaru Ngata (bass and guitar), and the result is a combination of in-your-face powerful music that is brooding and heavy yet also sonically atmospheric. Live performances from these guys will blow you away!
You may know of Tristan Dingemans as the former lead vocalist of Flying Nun band - HIGH DEPENDENCY UNIT (HDU)... and if you don't - you probably also want to check them out. More recently Tristan can also be heard around town flying solo as KAHU...
Each act has a flavour of it's own, but in a nutshell - great music!
